So, what is CPD? CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and is the term used to describe the learning activities professionals engage in to develop and enhance their abilities. It enables learning to become conscious and proactive, rather than passive and reactive.

CPD combines different methodologies to learning, such as training workshops, conferences and events, e-learning programs, best practice techniques and ideas sharing, all focused for an individual to improve and have effective professional development. There are over 1000 institutes & professional bodies across the UK, a number that is forecast to increase.

Accompanied by such growth is the acceptance that academic qualifications must offer more vocational and skills-based or ‘practical’ learning. A structured, practical and methodical approach to learning helps employers across industries to keep key staff and develop the skills & knowledge in their organizations to maintain a sustainable and competitive advantage.

Engaging in Continuing Professional Development ensures that both academic and practical qualifications do not become outdated or obsolete; allowing individuals to continually ‘up skill’ or ‘re-skill’ themselves, regardless of occupation, age or educational level.

t has become a major concern for worldwide universities, government bodies, and students that some educational agents are using unethical and sometimes illegal practices to recruit international students.

Many universities no longer use educational agents for recruitment purposes, for fear of giving their university a bad name in the global education field. This is having a detrimental effect on universities, agents, and students.

Educational agents and counselors need to be confident that the students they send abroad have their needs catered for. This should include good accommodation options and varied social and welfare support, as well as a good education and efficient meet and greet service.

QISAN also provides a referral service for students, educational agents, and educational institutions worldwide.

Students may apply directly to QISAN for free advice, referral to an appropriate institution, or to their nearest QISAN accredited agent.

QISAN is also able to offer educational agents and institutions a wide variety of services and has now become the premium ‘one-stop shop’ in international education.

QISAN’s head office is in the North East of England, but will soon be opening offices in India, Malaysia, Taiwan, China, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Australia, and the USA.
